A basic overview

Signaled by the sighting of Sirius: The pervading energies during the first season of the solar calendar were focused on inundation. In a society dependent on agriculture, the people looked forward to the fertile silt (deposited as a result of the Nile flooding its banks) which laid the foundation for the planting of seeds.  Then during the second season the seeds were planted, the crops grew and could then be harvested during the third season. Any surplus of crops would result in storage and feasting at the end of the third season.  These three seasons would last for the complete orbit of the sun and the cycle would start all over again.  How simple is that?

 

So the first season was a time for preparation.This could be chaotic time, but out of chaos always comes order, so definitely a time for planning and preparation.  Plans need to be put in place for the future.

 

The second season was a time for incubation, nurturing and growing.

 

By the third season they could see the emergence, development and grow of their seeds or plans.
